Many websites are now using Ajax into their website. Ajax is a technology based on Javascript that automates lots of website process. It has created a buzz in the world of Internet. Ajax is made by Javascript and XML and it is also called asynchronous Javascript and XML. It helps to load pages faster by exchanging small amount data between the site and the server. This has lead to less page views and the way content flows has completely changed. Now you don’t have top open full page to load content. Ajax helps to pull the data without loading the page again and again.

This new technology though has lots of benefits but has created problem for search engine optimization. Ajax based sites are very hard to crawl for Search engine bots and even the optimizers find it hard to integrate the keywords in such sites.

Is Ajax and SEO compatible?
No, right now it’s quiet hard to optimize ajax based site for search engines. Neither search engines bots can easily scan them since search engine bots cannot run the javascript codes that are required to generate the HTML. They will only scan the codes and will never find the actual content. Search engine find it very difficult to access your site if they are built on codes and this seriously hurts your chances to get into search engine ranking.

How to make Ajax and seo compatible?
Right now, it’s not easy to make these two things compatible. Though Ajax is a good technology and will stay for long time but unless a new way is not found, it’s better to stick to the HTML version of the website which gives you lot easy way to optimize your web site.
